Overview

The Music program at Benedictine University is committed to providing a high-quality experience in a wide variety of coursework, including music performance, technology, theory, aural skills, and music history. Housed in the Department of Visual, Performing, and Media Arts, our strength in vocal and instrumental ensembles provides students a solid base for artistic and intellectual growth. Through a student’s participation in music, or even declaration of a major/minor in Music, you may be eligible for an audition and scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Declaring a major in Music ($6,000 Scholarship Opportunity)
  • Declaring a minor in Music ($3,000 Scholarship Opportunity)
  • Athletic Band ($2,000 Scholarship Opportunity)
  • Ensemble Participation ($2,000 Scholarship Opportunity)*

*Please note that ensembles are a curriculum requirement for a student seeking a major or minor in Music, thus a student seeking ensemble participation is not eligible to receive that scholarship opportunity if also pursuing a declared minor or major in Music at Benedictine University.

Tuition credit after full semester of participation.
