Why work while attending classes at BenU?

Working while attending college provides valuable job experience. Today’s employers are looking for more than just a degree from potential employees. There is a difference between working with people in the classroom and working with people at a job. Employers want to see that you are able to adjust to the world outside of college. Even job experience that is not directly related to your field could give you the qualification needed for a position that someone without your experience could not get.

In addition, student employment can:

  • Help you avoid debt.
  • Teach you time management.
  • Provide the opportunity to network with others in your field of study.
  • Allow you to become more involved with the Benedictine community.
