Hairi Han, MFA, is a Professor of Graphic Arts & Design who joined Benedictine University in 2011. She holds an MFA in Visual Communication Design from Purdue University and previously taught graphic design at Western Kentucky University and Purdue University. Her teaching interests include typography, AI-integrated design, 3D design, and new media. Her teaching emphasizes creative independence, conceptual problem-solving, critical thinking, and professional preparation.

Professor Han is also an award-winning visual artist whose work explores visual storytelling through book arts, kinetic typography, and 3D printing, combining traditional craftsmanship with emerging technologies. Her work has been featured in numerous regional, national, and international exhibitions, including the Art Venice Biennale. Her artwork is part of the permanent collection of the Kentucky Museum and is also held in private collections.

At Benedictine University, Professor Han has contributed significantly to the development and growth of the Graphic Arts & Design program. She received the Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching in 2021–2022 and remains actively engaged in professional organizations and the broader design community.
