Get Started with Your Reservation

We strongly suggest that you plan well in advance of your requested date. During the academic year, availability of BenU’s athletic & recreation facilities are very limited for non-BenU groups.

  • Please fill out the on-line space request form listed below and allow a minimum of two weeks for a status review. Once status is confirmed, you will be notified with an e-mail confirmation.
  • Please note that the cost of each facility varies by the following items: facilities used, number of attendees, length of rental, equipment used, etc.
  • Any external requests must be made by the youth sport organization, not by the individual teams for the request to be reviewed.
  • All activities will be required to provide the proper paperwork; to include a facility contract, insurance waiver, and tax exempt form (when applicable).

BenU Departments and Registered Student Clubs and Organizations

To reserve space, student clubs and organizations must be current and in good-standing. Approval from the Office of Student Activities is required.

Football Stadium

The Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex is home to the Eagles’ football, men’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and our men’s and women’s track and field programs. The multi-million dollar on-campus facility is a collaborative effort between Benedictine University and the Village of Lisle.

  • Seating capacity for 3,071 people
  • Four VIP guest suites that each can accommodate 20 people
  • Synthetic turf competition field
  • Electronic scoreboard and message board
  • Stadium lights for evening events
  • Nine-lane Olympic-sized competition track
    • 13,000-square foot D-zone
    • 111,000-square foot interior oval
    • Integrated timing system

Atop the seating area of the stadium are the main press box area, complete with coaching/broadcast booths, four luxury suites and viewing sundecks on both ends. Concessions offering a variety of tasty food and drink are also available.

Baseball Stadium

The Sports Complex affords baseball teams and fans a facility that offers both comfort and functionality. The baseball stadium seats 1,100 overall. More than 800 of those seats are comfortable stadium-style chairs – including handicap-accessible areas on the main concourse – letting fans to sit back and support their team!

The Baseball field features:

  • Below-grade, professional-sized dugouts
  • Large, electronic scoreboard, message center
  • Stadium lighting

The enclosed climate-controlled press box/media center features permanent phone lines and data ports. There are also numerous ideal locations for both still and video cameras, and a public address system that gives coverage to all areas of the field and concourse.

Kate Heidkamp Softball Field

Named after Kate Heidkamp, one of Benedictine’s most decorated players in program history and a member of the Benedictine Hall of Fame, the softball field measures asymmetrical 225 feet to the outfield fence.

  • Covered dugouts with protective fencing
  • Tarp for inclement weather
  • Electronic scoreboard and message center
  • Viewing and videotaping options from the deck of the main stadium

The wide-open concourse offers  fans a parklike area with umbrella-covered tables and two built-in concessions areas. There is ample parking available in lots directly adjacent to the south and east Sports Complex entrances.

Natural Grass Field

Benedictine University offers an alternative athletic space for those days and events that do not require the stadium lights. 

The Rice West is a natural grass field, located directly adjacent to the main stadium. 

This space is ideal for daytime practice or overflow for soccer or lacrosse tournaments.

Rice Center

Benedictine University’s men’s and women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball teams play their home contests at the Dan and Ada Rice Center. Dedicated in 1977, full scale renovations of the Rice Center began in 2009 and were completed in the fall of 2011.

The $6.7 million project increased the size of the facility by 50 percent, including an 11,000-square foot fitness facility, day lockers, offices, the Benedictine Hall of Fame, an executive suite, classroom, meeting areas and a state-of-the-art athletic training facility. In addition, a state of the art fitness center, featuring a 7,500-square foot cardio and circuit training area and a 5,200-square foot strength training area were added
