Benedictine University (BenU) honored the achievements of more than 1,000 graduates at its 135th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. in Lisle, IL.; and Saturday, May 8, at 6 p.m. in Mesa, AZ. The event marks a milestone for students across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
Among this year’s standout graduates is Jazeline Rodriguez, who earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. Rodriguez has already secured an exciting role as a team clinician for the New York Knicks, showcasing the real-world impact of Benedictine’s academic programs.
This year’s commencement also marks a special milestone for the cohort of Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students. All seven are alumni of BenU’s MSN program and will walk the stage before completing their final coursework this summer. Despite their origins being spread across the country, including California, Ohio, Texas, and Tennessee, these students became a tight-knit group of professionals all with the goal of advancing their careers to serve in healthcare.
BenU takes pride in its own community of lifelong learners. This year, a few of our employees will cross the stage as graduates with degrees spanning from graduate-level to doctoral. Their dedication to both their work and education exemplifies the University’s values of scholarship and service.
This year’s Commencement Ceremony also included a special recognition as BenU awarded an honorary Doctorate of Human Letters to Peter Foyo, ’87, for their exceptional contributions and commitment to the University’s values of community, service, faith, and excellence.
Congratulations to all graduates!
