Benedictine University (BenU) Associate Professor, Paula Milas Sochacki, ’01, EdD, MPH ’04, RDN, LDN received the Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award in the Didactic Program in Dietetics NDEP South Central Region category for 2025.
This award program recognizes the teaching, mentoring, and leadership activities of faculty in Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND®)-accredited dietetics education programs. Only one educator can be selected from each of the five NDEP (Nutrition and Dietetics Educators and Preceptors) program types in each geographic region.
Receiving the Outstanding Dietetics Educator of the Year award is an incredible honor, and I am deeply touched by my colleagues and students who nominated me. This award signifies the passion and dedication that I have for creating meaningful connections with others through leadership, volunteer and learning opportunities. I am deeply grateful for this recognition and will continue to strive to make a positive impact and continue to grow as an educator.
