Archives & Special Collections

What We Do

The mission of the Benedictine University Archives is to collect and preserve materials that record and exhibit the history and life of the university.

To achieve this, we appraise, collect, organize, describe, and provide access to materials of historical, legal, fiscal, and/or administrative value to the university. We serve research and scholarship by assisting and encouraging the use of the archives and special collections by members of the Benedictine community and the community at large and promote knowledge and understanding of the school’s origins, programs, and goals.

The Archives and Special Collections are open to members of the Benedictine University community and to the public.

For all inquiries regarding student records, please contact the Office of the Registrar at [email protected] or (630) 829-6349.
