I chose to join the student senate because it gives me the opportunity to actively influence campus policies and initiatives, by allowing me to advocate for student needs and create change around the college. It also grants me the ability to develop leadership skills and exercise my teamwork skills. Additionally, being part student senate allows me to build lasting connections with like-minded peers.
