Benedictine – Summer Intern Housing

Benedictine University offers campus housing for interns working in Chicago’s western suburbs during summer. Our apartment-style accommodations are located on our scenic 108-acre campus in Lisle, IL, just 25 miles from O’Hare International Airport.

Housing is available from May 10, 2025 – August 9, 2025. We offer the following options at Founders Woods Apartments:

  • Private one-bedroom apartment
  • Private bedroom in a shared two-bedroom apartment
  • Private bedroom in a shared four-bedroom apartment

All apartments are fully furnished and include a kitchen, living room, and bathroom(s). Four-bedroom units have two bathrooms.

Eligibility

  • Available from Saturday, May 10 – Saturday, August 9, 2025
  • Open to currently-enrolled college/university students with summer internships
  • Must provide proof of internship (company name, supervisor details, position description)
  • All units are apartment-style accommodations

Rates

Nightly rates (per person):

  • $45 (private bedroom in 4-bedroom shared apartment)
  • $70 (private bedroom in 2-bedroom shared apartment)
  • $85 (private bedroom, single apartment)

Minimum 60-night stay required. Agreement confirmed deadline by May 2, 2025.

Policies

  • Reservations: To start the reservation and payment process, we’ll contact you with next steps after you apply.
  • Terms & Conditions: Download, print, and sign our Intern Housing Agreement.
  • Deposit Policy: Submit a completed Intern Housing Agreement and 20% non-refundable deposit to reserve your room. The deposit applies to your housing balance.
  • Cancellation Policy: Email cancellation notice must be provided 72-hours before arrival. Cancellations after move-in incur a 50% charge of remaining housing fees.
  • Damages and Incidentals: Damages and incidentals will be added to your final bill. After checkout and room inspection, notice will be shared.

Unit Assignment

Keep this information handy, either as a printout or on your phone. It will make move-in day navigation much easier. Your assignment email shows both your building name and room number. To find your floor, look at the first number of your room assignment – for example, if you’re in Anderson Hall 1404, you’ll be on the 1st floor.

Mail & Packages

Mail Delivery Guidelines:

  • Only residents with active University contracts can receive mail and packages
  • Mail must be addressed to: 5700 College Road, Lisle, IL 60532
  • Pick up your mail at the campus mailroom in the Krasa Student Center
  • We cannot accept packages for guests of residents
  • Mailroom hours vary – please check current schedule

Note: Visit the mailroom in Krasa Student Center during operating hours to collect your deliveries.

Check-In/Check-Out

Summer residents should check in and out of their summer assignments according to the dates in their contract agreement. Our conference and university staff are available daily from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Founders’ Woods Clubhouse to assist with check-in and check-out. Please leave your unit in the same condition as when you moved in. All university furniture must remain in its assigned location.

Drug-Free, Tobacco-Free Campus

All guests must comply with University drug, alcohol and tobacco policies, including state and federal laws. These policies are enforced like any other campus conduct violation.

The use, possession or distribution of drugs, including marijuana or drug paraphernalia, is strictly prohibited on University property and at University-sponsored activities.

As of August 1, 2017, the University prohibits smoking, vaping and tobacco products due to health risks, environmental impact and community feedback. Community members should kindly remind others of this policy.
