About Dr. Jamieson
Dr. David Jamieson is a nationally recognized thought leader in Organization Development (OD) and Change, with over six decades of experience guiding strategy, organizational design, cultural transformation, and leadership development.
As President of Jamieson Consulting Group, Inc. and Professor Emeritus at the University of St. Thomas, he brings unmatched expertise and insight into what makes organizations thrive.
A prolific author and respected voice in the field, Dr. Jamieson has co-authored nine influential books and contributed 17 chapters to leading handbooks. His pioneering work on “Use of Self” as a core OD competency has helped shape the next generation of change leaders.
He currently serves as Editor of OD Review, Associate Editor for the Journal of Management Inquiry, and on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science. His career has been profiled in the Palgrave Handbook of Organizational Change Thinkers—a testament to his impact and influence.
Dr. Jamieson is a past President of the Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD), past president of NTL Institute, and has chaired key leadership committees within the Academy of Management. His achievements have earned him numerous prestigious honors, including:

- Distinguished Scholar-Practitioner Career Achievement Award, Academy of Management
- Distinguished OD Educator Award, OD & Change Division of the Academy of Management

He earned his PhD in Management from UCLA, with a focus on Organization Design and Development, and holds a BS in Business Administration from Drexel University with a minor in Behavioral Science.
