Chemistry

Jim took over the job of establishing internships between the college and the hospitals. Jim had his doctorate in physical chemistry from Purdue U. He was chair of chemistry, taught classes and was involved in cancer research projects. He was an energetic man who seemed that he could never sit still. Toward his latter years he took up fishing. When asked how he could sit still in a boat for a long period of time, he replied that after a few minutes if he caught nothing, he would move to another spot. But he was very successful in getting medical internships in areas other than just an M.D program. He established internships in fields as dentistry, physical therapy, etc. He died rather young of cancer.
