Namhoon August Lee, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Finance at Benedictine University. He teaches various courses in finance including Principles of Finance, Derivatives, Financial Management and Fixed Income while researching in the area of investment and foreign exchange markets. He has published papers in Economic Letters, International Review of Finance, Journal of Accounting and Finance, International Journal of Finance and International Journal of Accounting and Business Finance. He loves to teach finance with current issues and enjoys discussion in class. He loves the energy emitting from the students in the morning in the Goodwin college building, it literally caffeinates him.

Before he entered higher education, Dr. Lee worked for Samsung Life Insurance, and worked as a Foreign Exchange Market analyst at International Business Times. He also worked as an independent Forecasting Analyst for American Foundry Society.

Dr. Lee holds a PhD in Finance and a MS in Finance from Illinois Institute of Technology, MBA degree in International Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BS degree in Physics from Korea University.
