Art Minor
Turn your creativity into a powerful visual voice
The Art Minor (formerly Fine Arts minor) at Benedictine University gives students the opportunity to build strong foundational skills in visual art while exploring their creativity. The program begins with Drawing I and includes coursework in art history and upper-level studio classes. Students develop technical abilities, learn key artistic concepts, and gain a deeper understanding of both historical and contemporary art. The 15-credit minor is designed to complement any major and strengthen creative thinking.
The Art Minor helps students sharpen their observation, problem-solving, and creative expression—valuable skills in fields like education, marketing, design, and more. Whether pursuing art professionally or as a passion, students are encouraged to develop their unique perspective within Benedictine’s supportive academic environment.
