Benedictine University Athletics will start off this latest season of fall sports with a new upgrade – brand new AstroTurf at the Benedictine University Sports Complex. The state-of-the-art synthetic playing surface will enhance performance and durability for Eagles athletes across multiple sports, including football, soccer, and lacrosse.
The multi-million-dollar facility, a partnership between Benedictine and the Village of Lisle, is already one of the premier athletics venues in the region. It features a 3,000-seat stadium, luxury suites, an Olympic-sized track, and top-tier training amenities. The new turf ensures that student-athletes have a high-quality, reliable surface for competition and practice.
“Our student athletes, coaches, and staff couldn’t be more excited with the installation of the AstroTurf field in the Sports Complex,” said Paul Nelson, Director of Athletics. “Not only will it provide our athletic programs with a state-of-the-art playing surface, but it will benefit all our student-athletes who utilize the facility for training and performance. And, it looks phenomenal!”
