Annual Benedictine PhD Scholars Brunch

  |

On Sunday, August 11, close to 50 PhD/OD alum, along with university leadership, gathered at Maggiano’s in River North in Chicago for our annual Benedictine PhD Scholars Brunch, during the 84th Academy of Management Conference held in Chicago this year.

We inspired one another as we heard of each other’s achievements, career paths, and celebrated achievements and research discoveries. Congratulations to Cohort 14 as they finish regular coursework and move to independent research to complete their dissertations.

Congratulations to Dr. Peter Sorensen and Dr. Therese Yaeger who earned Emerita status with the university as they retire and support research outside of the classroom. We are inspired by the legacy they have created and the hundreds of scholar-practitioners in the world creating and leading change.

We look forward to welcoming our next cohort of scholar-practitioners to the doctoral program this fall.

Attendees included: Provost Kate Lang, Dean Olga Lambert, Associate Dean Julie Bjorkman (also Cohort 5 graduate), Dr David Jamieson – distinguished visiting scholar over the years, Dr. Ram Tenkasi and at least one representative from each cohort from one to 14!
