My name is Syed Farhan, and I am an incoming junior at Benedictine University majoring in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology. Through the past two years at our beloved university, if there is anything I have learned, it is that being able to make a difference and an impact on your community is not simply a responsibility, but an honor and a privilege as well. As a student compelled by passion and enthusiasm to create a positive environment, I believe that joining Student Senate would allow me to foster that environment in a greater way. Already during my time at Benedictine, I have repeatedly displayed dedication towards the betterment of our community and its people, which enables me for this role. I believe my background, consisting of various leadership positions on campus and academic success speaks to my desire to grow and shape our community to be the best it can, and being a part of the Student Senate will allow me to do just that.
