Overview

The Jo Wilson Leadership Program was established in an effort to help build and further develop student leadership skills. The program provides a number of events and special activities designed to better help you understand the process of Leadership and how your service can make a positive impact on society. Leadership students are expected to uphold the Benedictine Values as well as to grow and expand as Leaders within the community.

Eligibility

Leadership Students must be an admitted and matriculated student at Benedictine University. The deadline for the Leadership Application is May, 1.

An eligible candidate must provide the below qualifications:

2.5 – 2.7 GPA (at minimum)
Two letters of recommendation from either a teacher, community leader and/or a supervisor. Letters of recommendation from family members will NOT be accepted
A history of involvement at previous institution(s)
- Include a list of all organizations you participated in at your previous institution, as well as any executive positions you held
One page essay of what leadership means to you and why you want to participate in the Jo Wilson Leadership program

How to Maintain your Membership

Students will need to maintain a 2.5 – 2.7 GPA at BenU in order to continue their membership within the program
Students must attend monthly Leadership seminars
Students must complete a minimum of 25 Community Service hours PER semester
(50 for the Year)
Students will schedule one on one meetings with the Leadership Program Coordinator
