Benedictine students, faculty, and staff converged on Goodwin Hall on Thursday, April 13, for the University’s thirteenth annual Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Arts (URSA) symposium. Over one hundred students participated in URSA 2023, delivering talks or displaying posters that described research projects they had undertaken over the course of the academic year.
“It was a wonderful showcase for the very impressive work our students and faculty are engaged in every day, as well as a welcome return to being together in person as a vibrant intellectual community,” said Dr. Olga Lambert, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts.
Founded in 2011, URSA has become an important part of the academic experience at Benedictine. The event promotes undergraduate research by providing students with a venue in which to present their work to the Benedictine community. Disciplines from across the University are well-represented at URSA, with students presenting work from fields as varied as biology, philosophy, English, political science, business, and nutrition.
