Retreats and Faith Formation

An important part of the Benedictine experience is providing students with opportunities to step back and reflect on some of life’s deep questions and offer resources they can use to grow and develop spiritually.

Faith formation is a broad term that includes such activities as praying, worshiping, bible study, retreats, service and other faith-based activities that help to facilitate students’ spiritual growth during their time at Benedictine.

Busy Person Retreat

Busy Person's Retreat

This retreat takes place over the course of one week. It is intended for busy college students, faculty and staff who cannot spend a whole weekend at a retreat, but desire to find God in their hectic everyday lives. All students, faculty and staff (no matter your faith or experience) are encouraged to participate. The Busy Person’s Retreat is designed to fit both an individual’s schedule and their unique spiritual path. You will meet one-on-one with a spiritual companion who will work with you, wherever you may be on your faith journey, to better live out your call to love and serve God in your life. During this time, the retreat will be virtual. The three distinct features of the Busy Person’s Retreat are:

  1. Reflect for 30-minutes with a spiritual companion.
  2. Renew what it means to be with God.
  3. Relax on-campus, balancing your busy schedule and making time for God.

2023 Student Retreat

Our annual Student Retreat is taking place February 18-19 at Mount Claret Retreat Center in Phoenix. Our theme will, once again, be “That in All Things…”, calling us to see God in the many areas of our lives, and guiding us to grow deeper in our relationship with Him! The Student Retreat consists of inspiring talks given by students, fun activities to help students connect with themselves and others, games, prayer, and more!

More information will come out mid-Fall Semester.
