Carrie Ankeny, Campus Ministry

Carrie Ankeny, M.A.

Director of Campus Ministry, Lisle

Carrie has her Catholic Campus Ministry Certification from Catholic Campus Ministry Association (CCMA). She earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Theology and a graduate certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Villanova University, and she earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy and Theology from Aquinas College. She has experience as a residence hall minister and has been on the organizational team for service trips within the United States and to Belize, Cambodia, the Philippines, Bolivia and the Dominican Republic. Carrie organizes all of Benedictine’s Campus Ministry service and social justice opportunities and works with the Movement of Students Achieving Interfaith Collaboration (M.O.S.A.I.C.) group on campus. Carrie is married to Chris and they enjoy spending time with their young sons, Blaise and Luke.

Carol AllenCarol Allen, M.A.

Coordinator of Retreats, Faith Formation and Liturgy

Carol earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Religious Studies from Missouri State University. Her ministerial experience includes music ministry and working with children and young adults from preschool through college.

Ellen Coman, Director, St. Benedict Chapel ChoirEllen Coman, M.M.

Director, St. Benedict Chapel Choir

Ellen attended the University of Notre Dame for her Masters in Music in Organ Performance and St. Olaf College for her Bachelors in Church Music. She is currently the Director of Sacred Music at St. Irene Catholic Church in Warrenville. Ellen is a published composer/arranger of sacred music and in addition to keyboard instruments, she also plays the folk harp and ukulele. Creating beautiful music together with others for the glory and praise of God is her deep passion. Ellen also works as a fitness instructor for seniors at Monarch Landing in Naperville. Along with her husband, Dan, Ellen enjoys biking, traveling, and walking in nature. Together they have four young adult children.
