Student Employment (Docents or Student Researchers)
The Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum provides a unique and fulfilling work environment for Benedictine University students. The museum hires students from any major, and no prior museum experience is necessary.
Students may apply to be trained as docents or as student researchers. Docents maintain the public hours of the museum and make sure all guests are warmly welcomed when they visit. Docents must be willing to work with children of all ages and help with tours of the museum as needed. Student researchers assist with specimen inventory and cataloging, creation and maintenance of the museum’s Discovery Boxes, exhibit formation, and other research projects.
