Campers enrolled in Kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to spend a fun-filled spring break with us at Benedictine University in Lisle. Our program promotes healthy living and self-esteem by engaging campers ages 5–11 in academic activities and safe outdoor learning experiences such as recreational basketball, traditional and new camp games. They also participate in indoor activities such as crafts, games, movies, fun academic activities, and university activities like going to the Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum. This year, we will offer optional, local off-campus field trip to Lisle Lanes Bowling Alley at an additional charge. Regular camp hours are 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Registration will begin on this website and will be open until capacity has been met and/or the registration deadline. (New dates TBA)
Payment is due in full at the time of registration for Spring Break Day Camp. We no longer accept deposits or payments at the start of a session.

After the registration deadline, a 50% refund minus a $20 administrative fee per session per child will be honored if requests are made online up until the Friday prior to the start of the session. No refunds will be given the weekend before, the day of or after a session starts. Refunds are not offered on discounted rates. Refunds will not be given if a child is dismissed from camp for behavioral misconduct.
These forms must be completed, per child to avoid a $15.00 late submission fee. This ensures each child’s safety by identifying their needs prior to camp arrival.
The forms may be mailed to the Spring Break Day Camp office at Benedictine University, 5700 College Rd., Building Goodwin Room 345, Lisle IL 60532. The forms may also be scanned and emailed to the camp director at [email protected] with subject line “SBDC Forms”.
Spring Break Day Camp notifies parents in writing when situations arise, such as an illness, or behavioral or injury of their camper. The camp will provide a signed report of the given situation and a phone call conversation when deemed necessary. When an event does not require immediate parent notification, a camp counselor will discuss it at the end of camp day with parents. Examples of these types of incidents include minor illness, behavioral or injury that is nonlife threatening, a camper needs Band-Aid application, camper has a tummy ache and then states they feel better, or camper does not follow a rule but then makes a correction.
For protection and easy identification, campers are REQUIRED to wear gym shoes and their official camp T-shirt every day. Extra T-shirts can be purchased for $10 each. Please dress your child appropriately for the weather.
Campers should bring a nut-free snack and full water bottle each day to camp. Lunch is provided each day in Benedictine University’s cafeteria. Campers are encouraged to select two healthy food choices, such as sandwich or steamed vegetables prior to eating dessert. Beverage choices include a variety of juices, milk, and water.
Campers should bring a backpack with a nut-free snack and full water bottle each day. All items must be labeled in permanent marker with your child’s full name and carried in a small tote bag/backpack, also labeled with your child’s full name.
It is not necessary for a camper to bring any other items to camp. Other personal items brought for open recreation use such as books, balls and gloves, are permitted, but these items will only be allowed during open recreation times and must be stored in their backpack otherwise. All items should be marked with the camper’s full name. We discourage campers from bringing small items such as playing cards and bouncy balls because they are easily lost. Campers are responsible for their own items. Summer Fun Day Camp is not responsible for any items lost, damaged or stolen.
Electronic devices such as cameras, iPods or video game players are not allowed at camp. Any items the Camp Director deems to be potentially dangerous, harmful or problematic are not allowed.
