On April 14, 2022, the Benedictine University Board of Trustees announced that President Charles Gregory plans to retire in August of 2023. His retirement will mark the end of a brilliant 51-year career in higher education, including 25 years at Benedictine University and four years as university president.
Gregory was named Benedictine’s president on January 8, 2019, the 12th president in the institution’s 135-year history. The board of trustees has appointed a search committee, to work together with AGB Search, to assist in identifying the ideal candidate for the 13th president of Benedictine University.
