International Programs and Services (IPS) is proud to work with incoming international students at our Lisle and Mesa campuses, current Benedictine students pursuing education abroad, and students enrolled in our Asia programs in China and Vietnam.

Each staff member within our department has studied or spent time abroad and personally knows the value of immersion in another culture, as well as some of the challenges students may face while pursuing these unique experiences. David Kleinberg is the Director of International Programs and Services. He is a native of Ohio, a graduate of the Ohio State University (B.A.) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (M.A. and Ph.D.). He has spent time studying abroad in Germany (Dresden, Regensburg and Berlin), teaching English in Austria as a Fulbright scholar and conducting his dissertation research in Austria. He is responsible for all international affairs at Benedictine University: study abroad programs, international student and scholars services, and administration of the degree programs offered in China and Vietnam.

Xiaojin has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shanghai University and earned her MBA at Benedictine University. She loves to travel and learn about different cultures from around the world. Xiaojin coordinates all services and events for international students at BenU, advises international F1 students, and provides administrative support for the university’s degree programs in China and Vietnam. Her greatest passion is making all of the international students feel at home while studying at Benedictine University.
