Career Closet Donations

The Office of Career & Personal Development is pleased to announce our Career Closet, a FREE professional consignment store for students to come and shop for business attire that will help them to feel confident and professional going into interviews. We will be collecting donation items throughout the Summer. Our hope is to have a Grand Opening at the beginning of the Fall Semester. We are looking for both men and women’s attire in all sizes, which can consist of:

  • Jackets, Blazers, Sport Coats
  • Collared Shirts and Blouses
  • Pant and Skirt Suits
  • Full Suits

We are also looking for both men and women’s accessories (dress shoes, ties, belts, bags/purses).

All donations can be dropped off in Krasa Student Center, Room 181. Please be sure that all items brought in have been properly cleaned and cared for prior to donating. Please consider donating items that are like new or gently worn. If any of the items have spots or stains on them, the item should not be donated and instead repurposed. Please make sure items are pressed and ready-to-wear.

Donate or Lend Your Old Magazines to Research

Dr. Luigi Manca and his wife, Alessandra are conducting research on the contents of magazine advertisements and are seeking access to copies of popular magazines like Sports Illustrated, People, Cosmopolitan, and so on, from 1990 to 1999.

If you happen to have any magazines from the 1990s you can spare, they would appreciate it very much if you could donate or lend them to them. They would be delighted to make arrangements to come and pick them up. And, if you wanted your magazines returned, they would be happy to do so after having taken pictures of the ads they need for our research.
