On January 24, 2023, seven Benedictine University students received the Writing Excellence Award in a ceremony in Kindlon Hall. This award is a marker of achievement for undergraduate student writers and those faculty sponsors who supported their writing projects in the Fall 2022 semester. Gregory Ott, Director of the Writing Program, remarked: “We have a range of award recipients from across the three colleges. Such diversity in major fields, from Health Science to Graphic Design, reminds us that writing skills are transferable across disciplines. And that writing well is a marker of creativity and critical thinking.”
