"...I definitely plan on attending every single dialogue...[nothing] can keep me away from these enriching discussions..."
- Onyekachi Nwoke, BenU Student
Benedictine University has hosted interreligious dialogue for nearly three years in the University Ministry office, Kindlon 4th Floor. We continue the effort to create a safe space to discuss issues of understanding in a climate of loving respect. Interreligious dialogue is currently under the direction of Dr. Rita George-Tvrtkovic, Ph. D., Associate Professor of Theology at Benedictine University and former Associate Director of the Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs for the Archdiocese of Chicago. For more information about joining interreligious dialogue, contact Dr. George-Tvrtkovic.
Topics covered in the past include home schooling, interfaith marriages, Islamaphobia, facebook messages, and easily misunderstood customs. Because University Ministry seeks to provide a laboratory for students to exercise leadership, topics to engage in dialogue are developed by student participants.
