The Academic Advising Office assists students in planning their academic and personal goals through a co-constructive model in which informed decision making, personal empowerment, and self-assessment are fostered for real real-world application and lifelong learning.
Advisor responsibilities include:
|Susan Boehler serves as the Senior
Director of Student Success and Retention. Susan holds a M.S. in Management and
Organization Development from Benedictine University and a B.A. in
Communication Arts from UIS. She has served students
at Benedictine since January 2004 and has experience working across several departments.|
|Lisa Hempen serves as an undergraduate
academic advisor in the Academic Advising Office. Lisa earned a Master degree
in Adult and Secondary education from the University of Missouri St. Louis and
a Bachelor degree in Community Health Education from Southern Illinois
|Emily Belcher serves as an
undergraduate academic advisor in the Academic Advising Office. Emily earned a
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Emily first began working in higher education as a student worker and peer
advisor in the advising center at UIS.
