Dear Parents,

There is always a sense of excitement on campus with the beginning of a new school year. After a quiet summer, students refocus on their academic goals, get involved in extracurricular activities and reacquaint themselves with their friends and classmates. It is a joy to walk about a student- filled campus and listen to their lively chatter! Throw in a little sweater weather coupled with waning sunlit days, and I know autumn is upon us.

If this is your first visit to our parent’s Web site, please peruse the topics on the left – I have updated and added new information to continue to assist prospective and current parents.

And here is the perfect segueway for my special announcement. Benedictine University is establishing a Parent Association. Our inaugural Parent Association meeting will be held during Family Weekend from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2009 in the Krasa Center, Room C (upstairs across from the cafeteria). All parents of Benedictine University students are invited to attend and learn how they may become more involved with our Benedictine community.

For those of you I have had the pleasure to meet – please call me anytime – I am here to assist you. For those I have not met – give me a call or send an e-mail. I would love to hear from you and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for sharing your children with the Benedictine community. It is rewarding to share in your joy and enthusiasm knowing they are on a path to a productive future.
