Commission approves Benedictine’s Mesa branch campus

Lisle, Illinois ~ The accrediting agency for Benedictine University announced it has approved the University’s application to open a branch campus in Mesa, Ariz.
The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools’ Institutional Actions Council voted to approve the opening of the Benedictine University at Mesa branch campus. As the University’s accrediting agency, the commission needed to review any planned or proposed institutional changes.
Part of the approval includes a campus evaluation six months after courses begin at the Mesa branch campus.
Benedictine University at Mesa opened its services center at 51 E. Main St. on September 20 and will offer classes beginning fall 2013 at 225 E. Main St. Both locations are in downtown Mesa.
Initial degree offerings will include a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Organizational Behavior,in addition to a minor in Religious Studies.
