Social media can be a powerful asset in the search for employment

Lisle, Illinois ~ Job-seekers must use every tool at their disposal, particularly when they are competing with dozens and even scores of other candidates.

The Offices of Career Development and Alumni Relations at Benedictine University will present a "Developing Your Employment Toolbox" workshop for jobseekers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19 on the second floor of the Krasa Student Center.

The workshop, "Using Social Media to Seek Employment," will feature Emily Kerous, director of operations for the Village of Hoffman Estates and former media supervisor at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising. Kerous will share with those in attendance how to market themselves to potential employers using different avenues of social media.
