High school, transfer, graduate students invited to learn more about Benedictine

Lisle, lllinois ~ Benedictine University has scheduled several events during the Admissions 2010 (web)010-2011 academic year for prospective new students.

A Preferred Visit Day will be held from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11.Preferred Visit Day offers high school students the opportunity to meet with the Admissions staff in a small group to discuss Benedictine University's renowned academic programs, admission requirements, application process, available scholarships and financial aid. Campus tours are also available. An RSVP is required by calling (630) 829-6300.

Future Preferred Visit Days are scheduled from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11; from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011; and from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011.

Fall Open House for prospective undergraduate students is scheduled from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 24 in the Krasa Student Center. Prospective students can check out Benedictine's academic programs, learn about the admissions process, talk with a financial aid counselor, tour classrooms and residence halls and meet with faculty and athletic coaches.

A Graduate Open House is scheduled from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 6 in the Krasa Student Center. The event provides students the opportunity to meet with representatives from each of Benedictine's 13 graduate and four doctorate programs and speak with financial aid and admissions counselors.

A Graduate Open House is also scheduled from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13.

Students interested in business are invited to attend a College of Business Open House from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14. Students and their parents will hear from Sandra L. Gill, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business, and meet with representatives from Admissions, Athletics, Financial Aid, Student Life, Student Activities and University Ministry.

Students interested in liberal Arts are invited to attend a College of Liberal Arts Open House from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2011. Students and their parents will hear from Maria de la Camara, Ph.D., dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and meet with representatives from Admissions, Athletics, Financial Aid, Student Life, Student Activities and University Ministry.

Spring Open House for prospective undergraduate students will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13 in the Krasa Student Center. Prospective students can check out Benedictine's academic programs, learn about the admissions process, talk with a financial aid counselor, tour classrooms and residence halls and meet with faculty and athletic coaches.
