Benedictine University's track and field teams competed in the North Central College "First Chance" Meet as the 2009 outdoor season begins to heat up. On the men's side, sophomore Dylan Roff was second in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 57.35 seconds. Roff also earned fourth place finishes in both the 110 meter hurdles (15.36) and in the high jump (6'0"). Junior thrower Devin Montgomery managed a pair of fifth places in the javelin (157'3") and hammer throw (140'10"). For the BU women's team, freshman Megan Kunesh was fourth in the 100 meter hurdles (16.97) and sixth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:13.98). Senior Hannah Miller finished seventh in the 1500 meters (5:00.66).
