The Benedictine University men's golf team continued its string of quality showings, placing third at the two-day Augustana Invitational last Friday and Saturday at the Highland Springs Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill. The Eagles team score of 594 was seven strokes behind NCAA III power Carthage College in first place and four shots clear of second place NAIA opponent St. Ambrose University. Senior Andrew Delaney was BU's top finisher with a composite 147 after shooting an even par 72 on the second day of play. Delaney was tied for fourth place in the individual results. Junior Tim Walters - who posted a one-under-par 71 on the opening day - finished tied for 10th place with a 150 score for the 36 holes. Juniors R.J. Schwalbach and Jon Price each amassed 153 totals and tied for 16th place.
