Benedictine fell victim to a scoring slump on Saturday as Maranatha Baptist took the 1-0 win. The loss dropped Benedictine's overall record to 3-8 and 2-4 in the Northern Athletics Conference. Maranatha's goal was scored at the 39:19 minute mark of the match. The Eagles had ample opportunity to score, putting nine shots on goal, led by Kelli Celmer's five-for-five in shot attempts on the net. Unfortunately for BU, Crusader goalie Barbara Gerlach turned away every attempt by Celmer - and all nine Benedictine SOG overall - to pick up the shutout. Eagles' goalkeeper Ashley Nielsen had seven saves.
