Mikos named to volleyball Academic All-District team

Benedictine University volleyball standout Danielle Mikos (Burbank, Ill./Reavis H.S.) has been selected to the second team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 team for College Division volleyball. The award is voted by the College Sports Information directors of America (CoSIDA). The CoSIDA District 5 College Division includes NCAA Division II, III and NAIA schools located in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Indiana, as well as Ontario and Manitoba, Canada. Mikos recently earned her third all-conference award, as well. The 5’11 middle hitter averaged 3.36 kills and 0.94 blocks per game, while sporting a team-leading attack percentage of .349. The Benedictine team finished the 2007 season 27-7 and was runner-up in the Northern Athletics Conference tournament, as well as third in the league's regular season standings. Mikos is a social science/history major.
