Benedictine University men's basketball player Jared Bailey (Argo, Ill./Argo Community H.S.) has been named to the D3Hoops.com national "Team of the Week" for the period of December 3-9, 2007. Bailey was also the men's basketball "Student-Athlete of the Week" for the Northern Athletics Conference for that same period. In the Eagles two contests, in which the team went 1-1, Bailey racked up some impressive numbers. The junior guard averaged a double-double of 28.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. He averaged 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game, as well. Bailey shot 51.4 percent from the field (18-35) on the week. In the loss to NAC leader Aurora University, Bailey had a career-high 39 points (while also pulling down a game-leading nine rebounds).
