Luann has a BA in History from Butler University, an MLS from Indiana University, and an MA in History from Purdue University. In her role as Associate University Librarian, Luann provides vision, direction and operational management for the planning, development, marketing, delivery and assessment of services at the Lisle campus library. In addition, she facilitates the identification and implementation of best practices in acquisitions, cataloging, collection development, and special collections for the University Library and its branches.

Michael enlisted in the US Army immediately after graduating high school. He served on active duty for four years as an infantryman with the 1st Ranger Battalion. He deployed once in support of OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and twice in support of OEF (Operation Enduring Freedom). After being honorably discharged, Michael earned his B.A. in History from Benedictine University in 2014. As Circulation Manager, Michael supervises the daily operations of student workers in the lower level of the library and provides various services to library patrons. At home, Michael likes spending time with his wife and two dogs.

As University Librarian I oversee all library operations and represent the library to campus administration and outside organizations such as the Catholic Library Association and the Catholic Research Resources Alliance. When opportunity presents, I like to travel and learn the history of people and places.

Fran has been guiding library users for many years. After receiving a Masters in Library Science from Rosary (now Domincan), she worked in the public library field adding academic when she had two children in college at the same time. Part of her job at the research desk is helping students, faculty, and staff navigate the sea of treasures found in the library and part is helping to build a collection of material that enriches that sea. She is also in charge of maintaining the Illinois document collection. For recreation, she loves to read from many different genres, visit wineries and the great outdoors, and has a crazy vendetta against “creeping Charlie” which has invaded her lawn.

Joan graduated from Dominican University with a BA in French and Philosophy and stayed on to earn her Master’s Degree in Library Science. Along with her library duties, for many years Joan served Benedictine University as an instructor of French in the Department of Languages and Literature. In her current position as Instruction Librarian, Joan’s mission is to help members of the Benedictine University community develop their information literacy skills and to acquaint them with the rich resources and services our library has to offer. Cynthia received her BS in Science-Business, a major in environmental science and a minor in business from the University of Notre Dame and her MLIS from the University of Illinois. She has worked at Argonne National Laboratory, the Newberry Library, Rush University Medical Center and the Library of Health Sciences at UIC. Previous to coming to Benedictine University, she was library faculty at National Louis University, providing reference, instruction and teaching online library classes. As Science Outreach Librarian she serves as library liaison to faculty and students in the College of Science and the School of Health Sciences providing specialized reference and instruction. She enjoys playing bassoon in Naperville Municipal Band, practicing yoga and spending time with her daughter Louisa.
