International
Visa Accommodations
Students are the lifeblood of any university. Through the collaborative efforts of our various offices, we help students make informed choices about continuing their education. We provide a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the best of the Benedictine values of hospitality and a concern for the development of each individual.
Currently Benedictine University is only authorized to issue I-20’s for the F-1 student visa. The Certificate of Eligibility (I-20) is the document that enables individuals to apply for the F-1 visa. The I-20 document is only issued after the student's acceptance into the University. The student is responsible for obtaining immigration status and a valid passport. More procedural information will be sent upon the student’s acceptance to Benedictine University. Undergraduate international students must be enrolled full time – taking 12 or more semester hours per term and graduate international students must be enrolled in nine or more credit hours per term.
