The Department of Music's various degree programs and courses of study provide students with opportunities to acquire practicing and rehearsing skills while mastering performance technique through intimate ensemble experiences that encourage a closer association with audiences. And in addition to learning to produce their own concerts, develop private studios, and record performances, students learn to understand and appreciate various kinds of music, comprehend their relationships to culture, education and history, and acquire a disciplinary knowledge of history, repertoire, pedagogy, and technology. With a degree in music from Benedictine, students are equipped with the skills and confidence necessary for success in any music career.
