Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All classes have a maximum class size. Many classes fill quickly, while a small few cancel due to low enrollment—often because students have waited until the last minute to register. Register early to avoid disappointment. Payment is due at registration.
If a class or program is full, CLL will put your name on a wait list. If a registered student drops or a room change occurs, those on the wait list will be contacted in order and given a brief period to register before the next person on the list is contacted.
If a class session has been cancelled by the instructor, students will be contacted with the date and time of a makeup session.
In the event CLL cancels a class or program, a refund will be issued. If a student cancels a registration, it must be done prior to the class registration deadline. Allow up to four weeks for processing.
If a student attends and withdraws from a class, a written notification requesting to withdrawal and reason(s) must be sent to the director at Rfinnigan@ben.edu within 48 hours after the start of the class. Those students will be issued a credit, minus a $15 administration charge, to be used on any CLL class; additional class fees are nonrefundable.
Special fees (art supplies, tours, etc.) will be listed in all class information descriptions. These are in addition to the class fee and are the responsibility of the student.
The CLL office communicates class additions, deletions and changes to our students by email. Please make sure we have your correct email address and check it regularly for updates.
You must be registered for all classes you attend. This includes attending a different section of a class. Please respect your fellow students and instructors by not attending classes for which you are not registered. Attendance sign in sheets and instructor check offs are designed to prevent ‘sitting-in’ and disrupting a class.
While participating in our various classes and programs, you may be photographed or videotaped. These may be used in a variety of publications and advertising materials. By registering for our classes and programs, you consent to the use of these photographs and videotapes.
Ample parking is available at the Moser Center. Parking is free and close to the classrooms. Handicap parking is available.
CLL follows the policy of Benedictine University with regard to closing in times of inclement weather or emergencies. If the university is closed because of weather conditions, our classes will also be canceled.
