Parking Procedures

Parking permits are required to park on Benedictine University Property. University Police patrol the parking lots and issue citations for infractions of the parking regulations. Vehicles may be immobilized or towed for repeated violations. The following is a breif list of parking infractions:
- Improperly displayed permit
- Park in Roadway
- Park on grass/turf/meadow
- Park within 15ft. of a Fire Hydrant
- Parking in a handicap space
- Parking in a fire lane
- Parking in a striped area

- Others as related to safety of pedestrians and motorists
Parking citations may be appealed through the Parking Appeals Board. This board is comprised of students and staff members of the University. This board encourages students to take an active role in governing themselves.
Board members may serve from 1 to 4 years. The board is chaired by a non-voting police officer who informs the board of parking regulations and University policies.
To file an appeal, simply go to the Appeals Board page of this website or pickup an appeal form at the Benedictine University Police Department.
