There is always someone doing something weird or entertaining, and I love seeing Susan the lunch lady every day. She makes my day.

Favorite meal from Coal Ben:  The classic chicken poppers. I miss them.

Favorite memory on campus: Hanging out with my roommates, Taylor and Sara. Always good memories.

Why did you choose to attend Benedictine University?
I chose Benedictine because of the Catholic background, the teachers, great academic environment and the amazing community of people.

Do you currently hold any positions on campus? In clubs/organizations/offices?  If so what do they entail?
I am a member of the orientation team that helps to run and plan the orientation welcome weekend for the freshmen and makes them feel welcome once they have moved onto campus. I am also a member of Theater Club and I am on the S.T.A.T. alumni board committee.

Do you currently receive any scholarships or grants?
I receive the Presidential Scholarship from Benedictine University and the Catholic High School Scholarship because I graduated from a Catholic high school. I also receive a scholarship because my mom is a Benedictine alumna.

What would you say to the donors/philanthropists that made your grants and awards possible?
I would say "thank you" for making my college experience more enjoyable because I do not have to worry about having enough money to pay tuition. I would also like to say that many other people are thankful because they have the chance to attend college and further their education because of their scholarships and grants.

What is the best part of being a member of the Benedictine community?
Meeting all the amazing people who are a part of the Benedictine community and having that Catholic background is amazing because it allows me to stay involved with my faith and live how God wants me to live.

When you graduate from Benedictine University, what do you look forward to most?
When I graduate, I look forward to keeping in touch with all my friends and seeing them all become the wonderful people I know they will be. In addition, staying in contact with Benedictine is very important to me and I look forward to what the future holds for the future classes at Benedictine.

Who is one of your favorite teachers or biggest influence on campus?
One of my favorite teachers on campus is Nona Jones in the Marketing department. Since marketing is my major, I look to her for a lot of guidance and support. She is an excellent teacher in the classroom as well as outside the classroom. There is never a dull moment in her class, and she pushes her students to the limits in order for them to reach their fullest potential.
