Application and Checklist

If you are a student in high school planning to apply to one of Benedictine University's traditional undergraduate programs, we've made applying easy. You can apply in one of three ways:

  1. Apply online. (will open in a new window) It's easy and you can pay the application fee via credit card or electronic check. Official transcripts and other required documents must be mailed to the Enrollment Center at the address listed below.
  2. Download the Undergraduate Degree Programs Application (will open in a new window) and mail it along with official transcripts and other required documents to the address listed below. Download Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The Second Major Program is designed for persons who already have a degree in one area and would like to gain expertise in another major.

  3. We are happy to mail an application to your home. Contact the Enrollment Center (will open in a new window) at Benedictine University if you would like materials sent to you, have questions about the status of your application (will open in a new window) or need us to guide you in the right direction with a specific inquiry (will open in a new window).

Benedictine University offers rolling admission into all of its programs, which means that applications are accepted and admissions decisions are made throughout the year. Once a completed admission file is received, it will take approximately 24-48 hours to process. An admissions counselor will call you as soon as any documentation is received in our office. Be sure to complete the following checklist to ensure your admission file is ready for review.

  1. Completed application
  2. $40 non-refundable application fee
  3. Official Academic Transcripts
  4. Official Academic ACT or SAT test scores
  5. A letter of recommendation from your high school counselor
  6. A personal statement of 200-300 words, double-spaced, answering the question, "What are your strengths and how will they help you at Benedictine University?" If you meet the admission requirements for Benedictine University, which are a 2.5/4.0 cumulative GPA, 21 ACT/990 SAT, and being at the top 50% of your graduating class, a personal statement is not required.

Please call the Enrollment Center at (630) 829-6300, if you do not meet the admissions requirements above for more information.
