Benedictine University is committed to providing a dynamic academic community based on rigorous undergraduate and graduate study, underscored by a strong Catholic heritage and time-honored Benedictine values.
Benedictine University offers 19 intercollegiate athletic programs that compete in the Northern Athletics Conference at the NCAA Division III level. With a strong desire to enhance recruitment and retention, the athletic coaches and staff at Benedictine University have developed a balanced, competitive intercollegiate program where our student athletes strive for excellence. For more information on athletics, please visit the athletics website at athletics.ben.edu.
Campus Recreation offers a wide variety of programs and facilities to help all Benedictine University students, faculty and staff satisfy their recreational needs. Whether you are looking to play intramurals, join a group fitness class, participate in an adventure activity, join a sports club or any of our other opportunities, there is something here for everyone to get involved in and have fun.
Intramurals offers competitive and recreational activities within a variety of individual and team sports. Team sports include bowling, badminton, volleyball, laser tag and basketball while individual activities include playing cards.
Club Sports offer BenU students the opportunity to participle in a number of club sports for all students. Club sports are formed so the participants on each team can learn new skills, improve existing skills, become more educated about fitness and health and engage in competition. Benedictine offers men’s tennis, men’s lacrosse and ping pong as club sports.
One of our goals is to provide healthy opportunities to students outside of the classroom and complement the experiences they receive elsewhere in campus life. With all of the different opportunities offered, there is something for everyone and every lifestyle.
