Academic Divisions

Benedictine University is committed to providing a dynamic academic community based on rigorous undergraduate and graduate study, underscored by a strong Catholic heritage and time-honored Benedictine values.

Undergraduate, graduate and doctorate academic programs at Benedictine University are housed in the College of Business, the College of Education and Health Services, the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Science and the Moser College of Adult and Professional Studies.

College of Liberal Arts
Advancing the liberal arts experience of students is a key component of a Benedictine University education. The College of Liberal Arts provides this to undergraduates through its major and minor programs, interdisciplinary offerings, support for the core curriculum and to adult undergraduate and graduate students.

College of Science
The College of Science includes the departments of Biology, Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Physics and Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science.At the graduate level, the College offers a master's degree in clinical exercise physiology.

College of Business
One of Benedictine University's great strengths is its integration of liberal with professional learning. The College of Business offers 10 undergraduate degree programs, three master's programs, several graduate certificates and a doctoral program in Organization Development. Programs are designed to meet the needs of traditional-age students as well as working adults, with courses offered in semester, quarter, accelerated and cohort formats.

College of Education and Health Services
The School of Education
Quality teacher education places great emphasis on a strong liberal arts foundation. The interactive relationship among liberal arts, disciplinary area of study, professional education and communication skills uniquely prepares Benedictine University students for a career in teaching. Benedictine University has provided accredited teacher education for 40 years. Today the University prepares individuals for three different certificates: Elementary, Special Education and Secondary, which span seven subject areas in biology, chemistry, English, math, physics, social sciences and Spanish. Graduate Education programs include a Master of Arts in Education, a Master of Education and a doctorate in Higher Education and Organizational Leadership.

The School of Health Services
The School of Health Services includes undergraduate programs in Health Administration, Nursing and Nutrition and the graduate Public Health and Nutrition programs.

Moser College of Adult and Professional Studies
The Moser College of Adult and Professional Studies offers accelerated programs including an Associate of Arts in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Management, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Education (Reading Specialist or General Administration).
